Lots of things come to mind when I say the word Christian. Maybe a person who goes to church, gives to the church, prays, and reads the Bible or Book of Mormon.
However, when I say “act like a Christian” what I imagine is someone who is Christ like in their everyday actions. They put others in front of themselves, maybe its by paying for someone’s dinner, when you know they don’t have the money to do it themselves, or even just being kind to someone.
To me just going to church and talking about God is not enough. Christians are suppose to be kind, are suppose to be welcoming and loving, to people of all shapes and sizes, all colors, of all faiths, of all political parties, people of all genders and identities and people of all sexualities.
Christians in my mind to not boast about their faith, or their lives. Christians should not shun other people, because all people on this Earth are creations of God, our brothers and our sisters, no matter how different they are from you physically or mentally we are of the same flesh and matter. Show compassion and love, forgive and forget, as hard as it may seem sometimes. Be accepting to all walks of life and be loving to all people.
Be like Jesus, whom loved the prostitute and did not shame or reprimand her, who touched the leper and did not fear or shun him, who gave to the beggar and loved him without telling him he was worth nothing.
In our lives we should give to people who many cast out of societies, deemed worthless, or whose lives are deemed incorrect. Jesus commanded us to love thy neighbor as thyself. So are you acting like a Christian?
